Captains of Manantiel de Amor Children's Home

Cheque and I with Edgar and Connie, the directors of MDA
We want to update you on an important change in our roles with B2B. Cheque and I have accepted the role as B2B Captains of a children's home called Manantiel de Amor (MDA) which translated means "Spring of Love". This means that we are now B2B's main connection to this home. We are working closely with the directors of MDA, Edgar and Connie, to help support them in their ministry to the 30 kids who live there. We are responsible for many things such as handling donations for the home, seeking more sponsors for them, bringing teams to serve there, helping to meet the kids' needs of tutoring, braces, dental and doctors appointments, etc. Our job also includes the interesting details of helping to plan quince anos parties for several teenage girls in the home and helping with the construction of a new children's home for them. We are excited about this new role and all that God desires to teach us through it. We will still continue with our other responsibilities of mentoring, helping with groups that come down, and the literacy program however MDA will be a priority.

We leave tomorrow to spend four days out at MDA with the directors and kids! We are excited to get to know them better and to learn how to better help meet their needs. We have all sorts of fun things planned from a bonfire to game night, but also desire to live life alongside them in their daily routine. Please pray for our time at MDA as we seek to build stronger relationships with the kids and workers in this home.

Enjoying a day at the park with the MDA kids
